Kent Coalfields Enterprise FundsFifth Kent Coalfields Conference

28 October 2004, 9.15am – 4.00pm
Aylesham and District Community Workshop Trust,
Ackholt Road, Aylesham, Kent.

SEEDA's chief executive Pam Alexander speaking at the fifth Kent Coalfields Conference, in Aylesham, acknowledged the unstinting support from community groups who have worked alongside SEEDA, English Partnerships, District Councils and Central Government to redevelop former colliery sites in Betteshanger, Snowdown, Tilmanstone and Chislet.

The Conference, a joint initiative between SEEDA, the Coalfields Community Campaign (CCC) and the East Kent Partnership, brought together everyone linked to the regeneration of the Kent Coalfields and looks at the progress that has been made so far. Delegates also shared good practice and had a chance to get across their point of view on how the communities should develop in the years to come.
