Commenting on Mark Prisk’s announcement on the transfer of RDA assets and liabilities, Oona Muirhead, Chief Executive of the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), said:
"We have always stated that we want to see a future model of ownership whereby sites are developed to maximise local economic outcomes and where local partners are able to influence decisions. The Statement by Mark Prisk today on the transfer of our assets and liabilities under a stewardship arrangement to the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) includes both of these aims. SEEDA, together with the RDA network, will work closely with Government to achieve the transfer of all remaining land assets, liabilities and associated staff by 19 September 2011, ensuring that our staff's extensive experience and skills are available to carry forward the valuable work started by the Agency.
