Development Project

Developing a pre-production prototype which has significant technological advance in a new product or process for commercial use.

The basic grant rate is 35% with higher rates available to projects based in ‘Assisted Areas’ of England. The level of support is £20,000 to £250,000.

Applicants are expected to submit quarterly claims for payment to the Monitoring Officer according to the conditions specified in the offer letter or at the very least submit a project progress report. We will retain 15% of the grant (except under exceptional circumstances) until the Project Officer confirms that the Project has been completed satisfactorily.

• Grant award: 35% of eligible costs
• Minimum award: £20,000
• Maximum award: £250,000
• Maximum period: 6 to 36 months
