How to apply
Pre-Application:
After reading through the information on Grant for R&D on this website please submit a summary of your project using the 'pre-application summary' document below prior to making a full application if you would like to ascertain whether you are likely to meet the criteria.
Please send your summary to either your local Business Link advisor (contact details below) or email a member of the Business Grants team listed in the pre-application summary document.
Making a Full Application
The guidance notes for applicants provide detailed guidance on the application process and selection criteria and should be read in conjunction with completing your full application.
To make an application please submit:
- An Application form (available below);
- Financial Appendices (available below);
- Project proposal & technical appendices (details in the guidance notes for applicants);
- Your business plan;
- Last 2 years full accounts and latest management accounts;
- Current and proposed funding.

To apply, please email a copy of your application, including the application form and all supporting documents, to

Submitting your complete application in both electronic and hard copy format will help us to avoid delays.
