Women's Enterprise

SEEDA has now launched its new Women's Enterprise website! www.womensenterprisesoutheast.co.uk

SEEDA and its partners are working at releasing the potential of Women's Enterprise in the South East, which will not only make a significant contribution in rivalling the world's most competitive regions, but will transform the lives of individual women, their families and communities particularly in disadvantaged areas.

With many partners and entrepreneurs now involved in this agenda doing great things across the region, the site is a real opportunity to link everyone together and share ideas and experiences. Its key purposes are:

  • To supports our South East Ambassadors Network and Advocates programme
  • To provide an online version of our Women's Business Support Directory (which has been updated from 2005), and also contains details on the women's networks that are available in the region.

Women's Enterprise Task Force 2007
By 2010 our target is that there will be 10,000 more women-owned businesses in the region. This is an ambitious goal which reflects our belief that the appetite for enterprise amongst women is huge.
How we are approaching this is detailed in SEEDA’s ‘Realising the Potential of Women’s Enterprise in the South East: A Strategy for the Region’ which is downloadable from the women’s enterprise website.
