SEEDA’s Planning Team seek to deliver Sustainable Economic Development through the Spatial Planning System. To fulfil SEEDA’s role as a Statutory Consultee the Team:
Co-operates with local planning authorities to define their economic goals for Local Development Frameworks (LDFs). It is important that SEEDA engages in this process, not least, to ensure the potential of strategic development sites.
Work closely with planning authorities and private sector developers, before application stage, to ensure that regional aspects are adopted to deliver high quality and best practice implementation across the South East. SEEDA's aim is to foster joined up thinking and actioning, to achieve better integrated developments including infrastructure, regeneration and business.
