Consultation on the future Sub Regional Arrangements to deliver the Regional Economic StrategySEEDA embarked on a review of the 72 sub regional partnership structures with whom we principally work earlier this year. The objective was to review current arrangements and identify an infrastructure fit for purpose to deliver the new RES. The review will be taken to the SEEDA Board in July. So far the review has identified a general consensus in the region that change is needed to deliver the challenging targets of the new RES in the context of alignment with local and national policy drivers. Over the next six weeks there will be a series of structured meetings within the sub regions to bring partners together to consider the proposition and the optimum arrangements locally. Following the consultation SEEDA will produce a preferred option for sub regional arrangements, which will form an important part of how we deliver the RES.
