Regional Economic Strategy Action PlansIn autumn 2007 with the publication of the Regional Economic Strategy Implementation Plan we described our intention to create a 'Living RES'. A key element of this concept is the ongoing work on Action Plans detailing specific activities against each of the 14 targets as set out in the Regional Economic Strategy (RES). A first draft set of Action Plans was published alongside the consultation document on the RES Implementation Plan. Since their publication partners across the region have been working to update and refine the Action Plans. This work was facilitated by SEEDA in close collaboration with the target sponsors. The Action Plans are instrumental to a successful delivery of the RES and provide the basis for the Living RES concept alongside the Annual Monitoring Report. Their purpose is to guide and channel the regions' The Action Plans published below are work in progress and a RES Steering Group has been establish to review the strategic direction of travel as well as to review whether the identified actions are still the most relevant to achieve the overarching vision of delivering sustainable prosperity for the region or whether changing circumstances require new ideas and initiatives. An integral part of the Living RES meeting cycle is the annual Partners' SEEDA will continue to engage with partners to review the Action Plans.
