Regional Economic Strategy Implementation PlanFollowing the production of the Regional Economic Strategy in October 2006, SEEDA has been working with key partners across the region to identify specific activities that partners will undertake to deliver the Strategy. A draft Implementation Plan, and a Sustainability Appraisal of it, were produced and a formal consultation on them undertaken from 1st June until 24th August. There were 143 responses to the consultation from partners across the region, a summary of the key issues raised can be found below, as well as SEEDA’s formal response to the Sustainability Appraisal. As part of the consultation Action Plans detailing specific activities were also released. Many of the responses to the consultation made detailed comments and recommendations on these Action Plans. It was decided that these responses needed greater consideration and to be debated by a wider set of partners and as such we have not produced final Action Plans with this Implementation Plan. SEEDA will again engage with partners to review the Action Plans and respondees recommendations on them and will produce a revised set of plans for April 2008. The original plans, as released in June 2007 can be found below. If you would like to be involved in the revision of these Action Plans please contact: Robert Nolan, Head of Policy, SEEDA, Cross Lanes, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 1YA, or email SEEDA here .
