The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is operationaly closed.

SEEDA, like all other Regional Development Agencies, closed operationally on 31st March. We have now transferred all our programmes and activities and the related records to other Agencies or bodies. If you have a query, can you please check the table below to ensure that you address your request to the correct Agency, as this will make sure that your request is dealt with as quickly as possible.

A small team is remaining at SEEDA until June 2012 to finalise the Agency's formal closure, including completing our Annual Report and Accounts. We will be delighted to try to answer any questions you might have about past activities or transferred projects but our capacity is very limited and we will not have the data or knowledge to be able to address questions as fully as we would like.

Transfer of data and knowledge

Lessons and knowledge about economic development and the nature of the economy in the South East of England region were passed on to our partners. We have also made available a knowledge bank on the SEEDA website preserved on the national archive: Visit the Seeda knowledge bank.

In early 2012 SEEDA transferred our research and economic intelligence database and assets to South East England Councils (SEEC) on behalf of the region – SEEC can be contacted on 0208 541 7555 or at info@secouncils.gov.uk.
