British Science Festival 2009

SEEDA supports Europe’s largest, longest running Science Festival coming to Surrey in September. Running from 5-10 September, the week long programme of events features debates, workshops, talks, plays, films, excursions and field trips. There’ll be something for everyone from families and schoolchildren to practising scientists and local businesses.
Hundreds of events are set to take place both at the University of Surrey and at a variety of venues in Guildford and across the county, from libraries and museums to shopping centres and bars.
The Festival is organised by the British Science Association with support from local partners Guildford Borough Council, Surrey County Council and the University of Surrey.
To help make things go with a bang we need your help. We’re now looking for local organisations, groups and businesses to:
• propose and organise events
• provide a venue
• sponsor the Festival
• help with publicising the Festival.
